“EL GRAN VERD” From January 10 to January 28, 2023 / by Carles Azcon

Carles Azcón is an artist committed to the preservation of nature and denouncing climate change. More specifically, in this exhibition entitled "The great green" and that we now present in Art Enllà, the artist exhibits a set of paintings that are inspired by or evoke the Amazon rainforest, one of the plant lungs of our planet that, unfortunately, is also beginning to be in danger of extinction.

They are paintings, some of large format, where the green color predominates with an almost blinding intensity. The color green as a symbol of the earth, but also as something similar to a clamor that from the depths of the jungle sends us a message that we cannot overlook or ignore.

Formally, these paintings, beyond what the artist wants to convey, have an uncommon expressive quality. The artist's use of color and the rotundity of the gesture on the canvas, give a result of an unusual expressive beauty, while amply demonstrating that art in very specific circumstances can also contribute to build a future presided over by respect for nature and love for all living beings.

That is why we can assure that in Art Enllà we are very pleased to present the work of Carlos Azcón, a young artist practically unknown, but capable of making a very personal work, full of good intentions and fundamentally, of an indisputable quality.
